The holidays are always extra jolly at Control Group! The office Christmas party is always magical, and every employee goes home with an envy-inspiring gift. Some of the winners this year went home with Canon DLSR cameras, tickets to Disneyland, and Yeti coolers!
The office is feeling festive with an abundance of delicious food, ugly Christmas sweaters, and generous paid time-off to spend with our loved ones. But while everyone loves receiving gifts, it’s also important to remember the true spirit of the holidays — giving back.
One of our favorite charities to work with is Toys For Tots.
In 1991, the US Marine Corps created the Toys For Tots foundation. Not every child in America is lucky enough to have gifts at Christmas, due to circumstances or economic hardship. But the Marines wanted every child to be able to share in the magic of Christmas, so they created Toys For Tots. If a child is in need, an application can be made through the local chapter of Toys For Tots, and a toy will come their way.
Every year, The Control Group participates in an annual toy drive to try and collect as many toys as we can to donate to Toys For Tots, and this year was another huge success!
This year we collected dozens of awesome toys, including LEGO sets, board games, dolls, and much more for kids in need.
After filling up the kitchen with toys for donation, we threw our annual White Elephant party!
This time around, there was an interesting stipulation — we had to gift items we already owned.
This revealed a lot about the strange collections of TCG employees. Taxidermy, tiny hands, and a pair of giant eyeballs were up for grabs!
