A Spooktacular TCG Halloween

Every Halloween, TCG gets in the spirit by decorating the offices, dressing up in costumes, and having a potluck. This year, we planned ahead with our potluck by creating a signup sheet so wouldn’t end up with five pumpkin pies again, which is not the worst thing in the world. We also changed things up a bit by having a pumpkin decorating contest, and the results did not disappoint! The creativity in this company is awe-inspiring, as you can see by our winning pumpkins.

The Pacific Beach and Little Italy offices were judged separately, and at the end of the day, we crowned two winners and two runner-ups.

Amber Hendrick placed first in our downtown office with her Jack Skellington masterpiece.

Irene Webber and her cute bat pumpkin won first place in PB. Adorable!

Second place downtown went to Arnav Aggarwal with his pumpkin that drank a little too much, while Nathan Cobb in PB also took silver for the creepy face that he carved in his pumpkin.

We also had some other pumpkins that deserved an honorable mention.

The costumes also yielded extremely creative results. If you’re a Futurama fan, you might enjoy this reference to the living, preserved head of Richard Nixon. Gus Alaniz took first place with this costume.

Our other first-place winner went to Natalie Scott, who was dressed as the undead. Spooky!

In second place, Courtney Langan and her family teamed up as the characters from The Silence of the Lambs (Courtney as Buffalo Bill, baby Hannibal Lecter, and her husband as Clarice Starling). Second place in PB went to Kacey Nomura, who took it back to the ‘60s with her hippie-inspired costume.

Of course, we can’t forget about our office pups. They love getting in the spirit! Doggy winners included Paul Ruffere as Paul Revere’s horse, and Miley as Batdog!

All in all, it was quite a day! There’s nothing like having some Halloween fun at the office and enjoying a far more reasonable amount of pumpkin pie.
